Kwop › Kwop vs PostHog
Kwop vs PostHog session replay: an honest comparison
Short answer: PostHog is an open-source product and data platform with session replay, product analytics, feature flags, A/B tests, surveys, error tracking and more, priced by usage with a free allowance every month. If you build software and want to debug and measure it, PostHog does far more. Kwop is for people who sell through Stripe, Whop or Shopify: it records every visit, shows who paid and who was about to, and writes the follow-up.
What each tool is built for
PostHog says its session replay is for product engineers debugging production issues they can't reproduce locally, PMs and designers spotting friction and rage clicks, and growth teams investigating funnel drop-off. Each replay comes with a synced DevTools panel (console logs, network requests, errors) and the person's properties and feature flags. It records websites and mobile apps (iOS, Android, React Native, Flutter), installs through SDKs or a setup wizard you run in your terminal or AI editor, and has an open-source version under the MIT license. PostHog AI can find and summarize recordings, also from Cursor, Claude Code or VS Code through the PostHog MCP.
Kwop starts from the sale. You add one script line to your site's <head>, and Kwop records every visit as a session replay, with visitor journeys, funnels with the drop-off at each step, and rage and dead clicks. Each visitor gets a buying-intent score and a page that shows the plan they picked. On Pro, you connect Stripe, Whop or Shopify, and each payment sits next to the visit that led to it. The Follow-ups page lists who to contact; on Pro, each one comes with an email written from their own visit.

Where PostHog is better
- Cost at low volume. 5,000 recordings free every month, no card, and usage-based pricing after that. Kwop has no free plan.
- Breadth. One signup covers analytics, replay, feature flags, experiments, surveys, error tracking, a data warehouse and more. Kwop does replay, leads, revenue and follow-ups.
- Debugging. Console logs, network requests and exceptions are synced with the replay. Kwop shows what the visitor did, not what your code did.
- Mobile apps and heatmaps. PostHog records native and cross-platform apps and has heatmaps. Kwop has neither.
- Track record. PostHog has been around for years and has an open-source version. Kwop is a new product, launched in October 2026.
Where Kwop is better
- Payments matched without code. On Pro, you connect Stripe, Whop or Shopify with a key from your own account. Kwop reads payments, imports the last 90 days, and matches each payment to the visitor who typed the same email on your site. Nothing to add to your checkout code. See the Stripe, Whop and Shopify pages.
- It tells you who to contact. Each visitor gets a buying-intent score from 0 to 100, based on how far they went in your funnel, how often they came back, how many pages they saw and whether they left their email. Hot leads are people with a high score who left their email and did not pay.
- It writes the follow-up, then tracks it. On Pro, the email uses that person's real visit: the plan and price they picked, where they stopped, a promo code that failed. You copy it and send it yourself. Kwop lays out a 7-step sequence over about two weeks that stops when they pay, and shows who clicked, came back and paid.
- Built for sellers, not only developers. One script line, no events to define, no SQL. On Pro, the revenue page ranks each product and plan by conversion, with what people left at checkout.
- Your AI reads sales data. On Pro, paste the private link from the MCP page of the Kwop app into Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or Cursor, and ask who to follow up today. See the MCP docs.
- Try it before installing. Paste your link and Kwop sends 3 test visits through your site, on desktop and phone, then shows their replays in about a minute.
Pricing compared
PostHog bills each product by usage. As of October 2026, its pricing page lists 5,000 session recordings free every month (plus 1 million analytics events), with no credit card. Above that, replay starts at $0.005 per recording and gets cheaper with volume, and you can set a billing limit per product. Recordings are kept 1 month on the free plan and 90 days on pay-as-you-go. Mobile app recordings have their own allowance (2,500 free) and prices. Rough guide for a website: 20,000 recordings in a month is 15,000 above the free allowance, 10,000 at $0.005 and 5,000 at $0.0035, so about $67.50 for replay alone.
Kwop has two plans, billed monthly, or yearly for 20% less:
| Starter | Pro | |
|---|---|---|
| Launch-week price | $47 / month | $119 / month |
| Regular price (after launch week) | $94 / month | $238 / month |
| Sites | 1 | Unlimited |
| Sessions recorded | Sampled (~90%), 5,000 / month | Every session |
| Replays, journeys, funnels, rage clicks | Yes | Yes |
| Follow-ups | Hottest 30% of leads, with how to follow up | Every hot lead, email written |
| Connectors, revenue, Kwop chat, MCP, alerts | No | Yes |
If price at low traffic matters most, PostHog's free allowance is hard to beat. Current Kwop prices are on the pricing page, and PostHog's are at posthog.com/pricing.

FAQ
Is PostHog free?
As of October 2026, PostHog's free allowance resets every month and includes 5,000 session recordings and 1 million analytics events, with no credit card. Above that, replay starts at $0.005 per recording. Kwop has no free plan, but you can get 3 free test visits of your site, with their replays, without installing anything.
Can Kwop replace PostHog?
Only if you used PostHog mainly to watch website replays and you sell through Stripe, Whop or Shopify. Kwop has no feature flags, experiments, surveys, error tracking, heatmaps or mobile app replay. If your team relies on those, keep PostHog.
Does PostHog track revenue?
Yes, through revenue analytics, in beta as of October 2026, which reads Stripe data or revenue events you send. To link a Stripe payment to a person, PostHog's docs have you add its person ID as metadata in your Stripe code. Kwop matches Stripe, Whop and Shopify payments to visits by the email typed on your site.
Can I run PostHog and Kwop on the same site?
Yes. Each tool installs with its own script, so you can keep PostHog for product analytics and debugging, and add Kwop's one script line to your <head> for payments, hot leads and follow-ups.
How does Kwop decide who to follow up?
Each visitor gets a buying-intent score from 0 to 100. Hot leads are people with a high score who left their email and did not pay. Starter shows your hottest 30% with how to follow up each one; Pro shows every hot lead with the email written.
