How to build a SaaS with AI: validate it, sell it, then build it

By Kwop · Updated

You build a SaaS with AI in two layers. The business layer (landing page, pricing, checkout, waitlist and the first marketing) can be online the same day; the product layer, the software itself, is built with AI coding tools or AI app builders. Kwop (kwop.io) builds and hosts the business layer at kwop.io/your-name, with Stripe payments and marketing, so you can test demand before you write code. Kwop does not write your app.

Why start with the landing page, not the code?

AI has made code cheap to write, so the expensive mistake is no longer a bug: it is spending weeks on a product nobody pays for. A landing page with a clear promise, a real price, a checkout and a waitlist tells you within days whether the problem is worth solving, before you build anything.

Step 1: Write the problem in one sentence

Who has the problem, what it costs them, and what they get with your tool. For example: "Freelance designers lose hours chasing invoices; this sends the reminders for them." If you can't write that sentence, the landing page won't convince anyone either.

With Kwop: the quiz asks for your idea and checks it: start now, start simpler, or change the angle.

Step 2: Pick a price before you build

A price on the page is the strongest test: a waitlist signup is a "maybe", a click on a paid plan is a "yes". Keep it simple, with one or two plans, and price from the value to the customer, not from your costs.

Step 3: Put up a landing page with pricing and a waitlist

The page needs a headline that repeats the one-sentence problem, three or four features written as results, the price, an FAQ that answers the objections, and a way to join: a checkout, a waitlist, or both.

With Kwop: Kwop builds that page (hero, features, pricing with a checkout through your own Stripe account, FAQ and waitlist), writes the copy and hosts it at kwop.io/your-name. On Builder you can connect your own domain.

Step 4: Put it in front of people who have the problem

Go where they already talk about it: communities, short videos that show the problem and the result, and direct messages to people you know have it. Aim for at least a hundred of the right visitors before you judge the idea.

With Kwop: every plan includes a video pack of hooks and scripts to film. Builder adds new ad creatives every 3 days and a Meta Ads wizard with ROAS.

Step 5: Read the signals

If nobody clicks the price, change the promise or the audience before you write code. More on reading these signals in why visitors don't buy.

Step 6: Build the product with AI tools

Once people want it, build the smallest version that delivers the promise. AI coding assistants (for example Claude Code, Cursor or GitHub Copilot) help developers and technical founders write it; AI app builders (for example Lovable, Bolt or Replit) let non-developers describe an app and get a working first version. Keep your Kwop page as the front door: pricing, checkout and marketing stay where they are while the product grows.

FAQ

Can AI build a whole SaaS by itself?

Not reliably yet. AI can build the landing page, pricing and checkout quickly, and AI coding tools can write much of the product, but someone still has to decide what to build, check that it works, and look after customers and their data.

Can I take payments before the product exists?

Yes, as a pre-sale, if you say so clearly on the page: what buyers get, when they get it, and how refunds work. Many founders start with a waitlist and open payments once a first version works.

Does Kwop write the code of my SaaS?

No. Kwop builds and hosts the business side: the landing page, pricing, checkout through your Stripe account, waitlist and marketing. The app itself is built with AI coding tools or an AI app builder.

What does it cost to launch a SaaS landing page with Kwop?

Starter is $19/month for one business; Builder is $39/month for three businesses, your own domain, ad creatives every 3 days, the Meta Ads wizard and Visitors. Stripe charges its usual fee on each payment; Kwop takes no percentage of sales.

Can I use my own domain for my SaaS page?

On Builder, yes: connect a domain you own with a CNAME record. On Starter the page lives at kwop.io/your-name.

How do I know if my SaaS idea is worth building?

Put a real price on a landing page and send the right people to it. Payments and checkout clicks are the strongest signal, waitlist emails a weaker one. If at least a hundred people who have the problem visit and nobody clicks the price, change the promise or the audience before you build.

Validate your SaaS before you code it

Answer a few questions about your idea. Kwop checks it, shows a revenue scenario based on your answers (not a promise), then builds and hosts your landing page with pricing and checkout.

Kwop (kwop.io) is an AI business builder: it builds and hosts your online store or SaaS, connects Stripe payments, and gives you marketing videos, ad creatives and every visitor as a video replay.
